Torrey Pines Hiking Trails

Torrey Pines, CA

I love to hike. Nhu also enjoys a hike, but not with as much enthusiasm and gusto. Being outdoors on a beautiful day, while taking in the fresh ocean breeze and perfect temperature; it’s just simply indescribable. And it’s something that Nhu and myself very much enjoy.

Torrey Pines Hiking Trails are a must in our book. Although the hike isn’t so much a hike, but more of a brisk walking trail, the views are breathtaking.

Starting from the beginning, parking is a hassle on the weekends. We can only imagine mid-day weekdays are the time to go. Parking off N. Torrey Pines Rd. can be very busy, but is also free. Definitely worth it if you can find a spot. Else, there is a lot that seems to always have availability but requires payment right at the base of the entrance.

There are many different trails available as you trek up the road from the parking lot. The Trail Map available here provides a great overview of Torrey Pines trail options.

The views of the ocean are incredible and make every moment very enjoyable along the hike. There is a great spot at the end of Razor Point Trail, overlooking the cliffs and the beach below, that provides a perfect view of the sunset. We definitely recommend this to anyone looking to take their significant other for a memorable evening, or even a magical place to pop the question.

We hope you have a great time on your next adventure to Torrey Pines! Please share your favorite memories below!
