A restaurant & bar called The Beachcomber sits in the sand at Crystal Cove, on the coast just South of Newport Beach. The converted cottage hosts spectacular views of the ocean, and the surrounding area holds an array of 1930’s era beach cottages, available for rent, sitting between the cliffs and the sea. To top it off, Ruby’s Shake Shack sits at the top of the cliffs, serving up delicious burgers, fries (especially those sweet potato fries), and shakes!
The food & drinks at the Beachcomber are great, but it’s the location and feel that make the place so special. There don’t seem to be too many restaurants in California situated right on the beach. Let alone in Crystal Cove, surrounded by the awesome ambiance of the 1930’s beach resort.
3 hours of parking can be validated for the parking lot across PCH, on Los Trancos. Just a quick walk across the street, and south down the walking path. Take a drive down PCH with the windows down, & stop in for a drink & a bite to eat on the beach!
